How do you deal with a recruiting bait and switch? What was told to me during the hiring process isn’t aligning to what I’m going to be working on, who I’m working with, or promotion track.

EM asked me to cancel my second week of vacation to get some face time with the client, which I accommodated (grudgingly). Landed to a barrage of text messages asking where I was (cont.)

Before CR
Me: This moodboard is to decide a direction for the overall look & feel
Client: OK

After CR
Me: Any questions?
Client: Can’t you use more sophisticated font like Helvetica in there?

I have 4 years of uninspiring work experience (client success at a tech firm). 3.6GPA from a top LAC school and 760 GMAT. What range of MBA programs should I be targeting? Aiming for consulting

Any tips on making a career transition now? How do I get to the client side? Is the grass just greener?

Is it normal that whenever I ask to do more challenging work, gain more experience in a particular area, sit in on client meetings, etc. (basically ask for more work so I can grow professionally), my superiors appreciate it and give me the opportunity, BUT split the work evenly between me and my coworker who is skilled but unmotivated? InstaCart question.

Anybody have any info or one-sheeters around sponsored partnerships that allow brands to include product samples in IC buys? I have a very large client who wants to explore it but can’t find any info or get in touch with a rep.

About to make the jump client side, brand marketing manager in tech to be exact. Any early-on tips or advice you’ve picked up are welcomed!

Feeling burnt out and unmotivated with agency life. Throughout the past year I’ve been added to a variety of “problem accounts” with challenging, disorganized and rude client contacts. Since then, it feels my teams have dwindled and I’ve been left to pick up the pieces / manage it all. I’m struggling to feel inspired and am starting to dread my work. Any tips for how to initiate account changes without sounding whiny? Or - any tips in general?

8 hours of travel to get to the client, but got to take a detour on the way and get in a quick hike

Ex-Deloitters... why did you leave?
I’m 6 months in & still happy. Managers don’t bug me past 5, seniors explain things to me, staffed on a cool project. Yet most leave after 2-3 years. Am I naive?

Who is your work spouse? Peer, senior, or junior? I usually had a peer-level on my project before pandemic, but finding it harder to do that as manager.

Some days (today) I just want to say: "go home (client name) you're a worthless POS that doesn't know what the fuq is going on here and just makes my job harder. Don't let the door hit you, Felicia!"

Current generation partners, will you ever realize how to treat women co-workers / employees better? And not cut them off while they are talking in front of the client? It makes you look bad, not us

I’m a Financial Services Strategy Manager in NYC who just got laid off. Any connections to strategic planning roles in the NYC area would be very much appreciated.
