Voting for a president is also voting for who they will select as their cabinet, attorney general, federal judges, etc. There's so much more on the ballot than Biden & Harris and I personally feel better about the people they will select than those we have seen Trump select.
Also opting out of voting means you aren't participating in state and local elections either. I was talking to a super progressive acquaintance who is Bernie or Bust about how there's a tax measure on the ballot that aligns with his beliefs so by choosing not to show up and vote he's leaving that to others to decide too. He hadn't even considered the items outside of the presidential election when he decided not to vote, we have a Senate seat too.

I plan on voting but It doesnt change my heart from feeling like it really doesnt matter.. at this point voting is just a means to the end of the Drump era
Opting to chose from the lesser of “two evils” is basically telling other people to make the choice for you. It’s a vote for whoever the winner is itself.
Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking that not voting is an admirable Stance. It’s basically saying “ i do not care enough to make a choice”, which is fine but I don’t want to hear folks who do not vote make noise about something Trump does next year If he wins.
Because IMO, they had a chance for a better candidate but didn’t care enough to do anything and they’d be part of the problem as well
Which candidate is that? Biden has said he wants to give more funding to cops.
I plan on voting for him. However, I do not fault those of us who are done adhering to this bs system. Opting out from choosing between the lesser of two evils is a vote in itself.
I’m sure those that came before us would be thrilled to see black people deciding not to vote, after the pain, suffering and humiliation they went through just to gain that right.

When people make the choice not to vote, they still vote. 🤷🏽♂️
I misunderstood your comment.

Ironically, Kentucky is a case where things are the way they are specifically because people don’t vote. Grew up there and people HATE Mitch McConnell, yet he wins elections every six years. He knows he doesn’t have to be accountable to the voters – ever wonder why he’s the most powerful person in DC and his state is worse off than it was since he was elected? Because people don’t vote.

Oh for sure PwC 1 (not here to support the GOP), but voter suppression happens on many levels.
Often times, multiple small and nagging roadblocks are as effective as large singular ones because they don’t get attention but play into the average American’s propensity for political apathy.
The way I see it, at least we can hold Biden and Harris accountable. Trump does his own thing. I would much rather live in their world than Trumps (who is outwardly white supremacist).
What Deloitte said. The democrats have been really loud in their opposition but there’s only so much they can do when the Senate is Republican controlled and there’s so much internal corruption and coverups.
Yeah we should vote for KAMALA HARRIS because we are unhappy with injustices in the courtroom 🙄 I get it and I'm with ya'll but trump has never prosecuted a case. Harris literally prevented DNA evidence from being used in cases which might have allowed a black man to leave death row.

Trump hasn’t prosecuted a case but he’s appointed a slew of known racists to judicial positions. So what are we really talking about here?

Did we learn nothing from the last election? The only person I can realistically imagine as being worst than Trump is Pence. That man is scary calculating.
So as long as we're not risking Pence, Trump needs to be gone like yesterday.
Well, they did lose the popular vote last election

I’m voting, but I know that none of the candidates care about Black lives.
Agreed.
Except you are actively planning a revolution to overthrow the system, not voting is not a political stance. It’s an “I do not care enough stance”
When your vote becomes expected, you should not expect anyone to do anything to get your vote or even satisfy our interest when elected .
