So these are generic titles, and they won’t ever be consistent across every other firm. I’ve known companies where a ‘manager’ title was truly a senior level director at many other companies with a count of 20 people reporting into that person.

Use the title you have, and make sure your accountabilities speak to the true nature of the role. Always confirm the opportunity with the recruiter before you move on with the conversation to ensure it’s in sync with where you’d want to be

Please do not call yourself a “leader”. Any leader will not need to call themselves such. Your accountabilities will reflect your leadership capacity.

Are they staff / senior/ manager / senior manager ? If so have the same problem

Who cares? Everyone understands titles vary across orgs. As long as you can speak to what you actually do it doesn’t matter.

“Reframe” is a nice way of saying lie. We pull offers if we find people have lied about their job titles.

Your title is what it is. Use the bullets to describe what you do. If you feel really really strongly about it, put a more accurate descriptive title in parenthesis after your actual title.
