The Democrats lost again in GA but it's not their fault. People knock religion but worship political parties 🤔. Time to prepare a sacrifice to Pelosi, maybe volunteer hours...

I'm not going to vote for anyone trying to make me pay my "fair share" (I'm in to proportionate shares) or who wants to regulate my morality. Libertarianism was a natural choice for me.

like

You should sacrificr Pelosi. Democrats have only failed under her leadership

like

The Democrat version of fair share is give your freedom, money and attention to them to control.

I was a Republican (somewhat disillusioned) until I came home from Iraq. Then I was really sick of their bullshit too. Paying taxes isn't donating to charity, and I don't give a shit about what my neighbors think about what I do at home. Even as the father of a traditional "nuclear family", it's nobody's damn business.

like

You sound very similar to me DD1. Taxes isn't charity, it's giving power to wack jobs and some does go to help with real things which is the tyranny of it all. Helping people is a personal, daily call for me so government is a distant and insufficient substitute.

like

(moderate) Libertarian here as well DD1, I was a Republican from ages 16-20 and then I was fed up with the hipocracy. Unfortunately that means I often feel like I'm am showing between 2 crap candidates for every office

Pelosi does way more harm than good for the democrats in these state elections. Honestly wtf are the dems thinking keeping her around as their leader?! She must have some frank underwood political skills. As one of the richest members of congress who represents the one of the most liberal districts in the country, she is the ultimate limousine liberal and makes it really hard for middle America to vote dem. If the dems want to have any electoral success they need an Everyman like Joe Biden as their public leader. If not then it'll be way too easy for congressional candidates in middle America to be branded and too far left for the seat they're running for.

What if this thread wasn't about Trump? The party faithful are sooooo simple and easy to identify. Anything said against their side elicits attacks on the other side. D2, or I might say R2D2, stop running your programming and start thinking. What if they are all terrible all of the loyal party members on both sides?

like

Failure of a 2 party system. You can hate your candidate, but if the only other choice does not align with you ideologically at all, you will end up voting for the person you do not like. Only a small slice of Americans are truly open to vote for either party. Other than that turnout and enthusiasm is what really wins elections

So does this mean you are sacrificing a goat 🐐 or a rat 🐭.

I feel like all of the political leaders are failing and they only have success relative to each other, 40% is higher than 35% and both are F's

^yep and the party faithful Pavlovian response prevents them from seeing anything except their good and the others bad hence the reason for my post

Keep in mind GA6 has traditionally been an R+20 district and it ended up what R+4? In any non-overhyped election that's not a bad showing. Ossoff was not a good candidate. No experience, very young, and didn't live in the district. Of course Handel wasn't a very good candidate either... but Ossoff matched the vote vote count from November despite it being a one-off special election. That's not that bad. The demographics in GA6 are changing, but a 20pt swing in 8 months was always a pipe dream. Also, fuck Pelosi. She almost hit me with her car once. Haha

A vast majority of voters are loving trump in their closets. That being said I predict Republicans will expand margin in the house and senate next year contrary to all these news reports

All the polling is wrong anyway. I agree with M2. Also, we're probably all just racist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist deplorables.

Hot Take: if you think President Trump is doing an objectively good job representing the country at home and abroad you're either not paying attention or a deplorable

I think Trump could do better, but that would be my opinion of any president.

SC2 i was responding to PWC2. As an aside though, I don't buy into the false narrative that "both parties are equally bad" and the self-satisfied slacktivism of calling everyone sheeple for participating in the reality that is a first past the post electoral system

*@OP

D2, I see what you are saying

Anyone hiring ACD-ADs in LA??

My current gig uses photos of ex-employees (a lot of them are POCs) in their townhall/RFP decks. Doesn’t sit well with me. I just feel like they are trying to look more diverse than they really are. Is this even allowed?
