They paid $1.6m from an 80 page deck offering nothing of substance. “Remote work will be more common”. Lmao

"This report was on the lower end of McKinsey’s pricing scale, which apparently means the Commonwealth doesn’t get anything beyond regurgitated conventional wisdom." This is hilarious. My team picked up a project that McKinsey had started, and their analysis was literally 20 pages rehashing and repackaging the same data that the client had already put together with no new insights.

Why has the Deloitte USI leadership not mandatorily extended WFH policy further for few months ? There is no clear cut instructions and the onus of coming to office has been left to team leaders who themselves are unsure of what decisions to make. Anyone else had to deal with construction next door? I get the daily jackhammers while trying to work from home and not using our backyard due to noise/dust. But every time they infringe on our property, the response is hostile. Broke our front fence from pulling on it, stand on our back fence until it shakes, and today dropped something on our roof. Each time they act offended when asked about it. 3x had drug addicts using on the site since it’s left unsecured, and they still won’t secure it.

Hello! I asked about flying with dogs in carriers before—we bought our ticket with delta, but my dog has long legs, so when he lays down he’s fine but when he sits, half his body is out of the carrier (pics attached). A friend who flies with American said they checked to see that her dog could stand and turn around. Does anyone have experience flying with delta/do they do this as well?

My SO’s family invited me on a European vacation and I’m going. However, I am terrified of telling my mother. My parents aren’t the most financially stable. I’m worried that telling her will make her feel shitty, uncomfortable, and like she can’t keep up with her potential future in-laws … (1/2)

I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?

Hello. I work at a mid size erp/epm consulting firm and my base salary is not comparable to big4s. I currently make a TC of 105k with two years of consulting experience. I asked for a raise last month and now my TC will be pumped up to 126k at the end of year. I have been poached by many consulting firms and some are offering 135-150k TC. I have a masters degree in data science and 4 years of working experience. Does it make sense for me to look around even after I asked for a raise?
