I feel ya

Just overheard this gem- how did the people on 9/11 make calls to their families? Those must have been faked! Cell phones don't work on planes... uhhh does no one remember the phones in the back of the seats? I guess they are too young.

Nonsense OP, just because they are dumb doesn't mean they are too young!

A1- too young to remember the phones on planes... I'm guessing freshmen by all the giggles today so they would have been what 2 years oldish in 01? Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt;)

@op - I hate that but they are just a giggling pack of girls. At that age there is not much you can do but put your headphones on!

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

Anyone know where to play some Texas NL Hold’em in ATL?

I’ve been working as an estate planning attorney in State A for the last 4 years. My husband just got his dream job (very high paying, lots of career opp for him) in State B. We’re still deciding what makes most sense for our family, but we’re leaning toward heading to State B. Anyone have any experience with this - moving states when EP can be so state specific? I’m worried how I’ll market myself/find a new job/start over.

Have you ever had a recruiter call, and ask you all these questions like a half interview even. And then go ahead and make a post of all the things you said you work on, the requested salary and benefits and also specific details about location and type of profile i was looking for?
