I don't support trump but the reason he has so much support is because of people like you who yell "white male privilege" in people's faces in every situation you can regardless of the facts. If the facts are in your favor you shouldn't have to scream "white male privilege" to get your point across right?
I'm sorry, did you really just ask if the rest of us might not also be tempted to rape an unconscious woman we found behind a dumpster? No, I would call for emergency services. That's not being a perfect angel, that's being a decent human being.
Good god shut the fuck up
Don't get me wrong this Brock guy is a piece of shit but the whole "White Privilege" thing needs to stop before people start offing all white people. That's where this ultimately leads.
He raped someone and destroyed her world. Six months seems pretty lenient when you remember that imprisonment isn't prevention, it's deterrence and punishment.
Six months is nothing. He should have had the fullest punishment for rape. However, I do not think this is white male privilege. More like a Stanford alum being lenient on a star Stanford athlete.
fuck off

First, he will actually serve three months in jail, not six months in prison, as sentenced. Second, the term is digital rape, not "fingered," as if mode of penetration somehow matters? Please elaborate on exactly how traumatized one should be based on the object with which one is forcibly penetrated. I'd like the hear the hierarchy so I can judge a victim's response to trauma appropriately.
Well he didn't rape her, he fingered her. And I have a hard time seeing how getting fingered would "destroy" my world, but hey every person is different. Would also like to remake the point that libs love light jail sentences until they have grabbed their pitchforks, at which point suggesting leniency makes you a 'disgusting part of the problem'. 6 months of rape in prison is not exactly a walk in the park, by the way. SJWs are only freaking out about this because it happens to fit their preconceived notions of injustice and unfairness, a la Erdely and the UVA rolling stone piece.
The problem is that we are too harsh on minorities in the criminal justice system, not that Brock needs more time in the slammer. He should also acknowledge that he got drunk and raped this chick and apologize, which he has not done yet. It's like a drunk driving accident, you get so blacked out that you think it's a good idea to get behind wheel and then you wake up and you find out you ran someone over. She's mad because he is equivalently saying "I didn't run her over." She should also apologize for being so drunk that she was standing in the street, so to speak. Regardless, if the person you ran over was hammered, you still ran them over. This dumb chick wants and deserves an apology. All parties involved are idiots, except the judge who is tasked with dealing with the ramifications of these irresponsible teenagers.
It actually just seems like the people that scream about equality and fairness, if put in charge, would not be equal and fair to people outside of their cultural circle at all. I just think people need to be very careful about how they are vilifying all white folks. Seems to me that it's very common for people to openly think that "white people are the problem". It's a very dangerous position to create an entire class of victims and point to the cruel white boogie man as the source of all their life's problem.
They're just words. If someone can't handle words, they might as well climb back in their mother's womb
@db3 I'm not sure if you got the memo but outrage is only supposed to last about 5 days until the next incident comes along and triggers the outrage. This one is over and done with. Please move along now.
Ok, no, @citi1 he still should not have touched her. Judging by the fathers reaction and statement, I imagine he was raised to think he could get away with certain delinquencies. Doesn't matter if it was with his finger or penis- he is a sexual predator by the standard issued by the law. Is this white male privilege? No, more likely a kid raised to be entitled, which was only exacerbated by being an athlete at Stanford. It doesn't matter the perceived 'degree' of penetration.
I am embarrassed to be employed by the same firm that employs the OP
There is an abundant amount of Americans today that want to ignore the rule of law in favor for the rule of feeling. I think what MS is trying to say is that certain people (REGARDLESS of race) want to severely punish perceived inequities far beyond what the law demands or requires. In certain people's hands, rape can be punishable by death or life in prison, and a discrimination suit can be punishable by civil suit of one's entire net worth.
The Brock case is one of the worst signifiers yet, of both White and Male Privilege (I am a white male). Some dumb motherfuckers on this thread, who say otherwise. No wonder the metaphorical Sword of Damocles is always hanging over the head of the world's SIFIs; their farm system is fallow as fuck
O
@Citi1 nobody would "prefer" Brock just because he didn't / couldnt use his dick. And yes, he is threat to society. When someone decides to sexually attack someone who can't defend themselves, then that person is a threat and should be pulled out of society. 3 months for a convicted rapist is a travesty. Convicted! Do you know how hard it is to convict rapists? Hundreds of them escape justice because of how tough it is. So the fact he got convicted tells you how overwhelming the evidence was. I'm shocked that there is anyone who thinks that sentence is appropriate. Just shows how fucked up some people are.
