The firm keeps asking why people keep quitting. I don't even have it bad at work this year but as a rising senior I could get $20k more a year in industry. Idk how to rationalize drinking the koolaid

I started in industry and came to big 4 as a senior. The raises and bonuses are much much better. In industry, there are no promotion parties and other activities. It's generally tougher to be promoted and I worked longer hours in industry (SEC reporting)

like

Because in industry your raises will flatten out. At big 4, you'll be making much more every year. It's worth staying in the game .

I'm not so sure about the flat industry raises argument. I make less than people who bailed a couple years ago.

Anyone have any experience with Atheneum or Coleman Research Group. Both reaching out aggressively about consultations on same / similar topic. Emailing aggressively by the hour to seek scheduling.

No real question here that I have, just wondering if these are known / reputed firms you have any experience with?

We are looking for pre-seed funding to make our prices irresistible.
Can anyone please help or recommend?

Hi tax 🐠,

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?
