I'm an iOS developer, switching from tcs after 1 year.

I got multiple offers around 8 -10 LPA from similar companies (infy, Wipro,..) and some small and mid sized companies including product based ones.

People are telling me to join big organization because of the upcoming recession.
What's your opinion? I like some small companies because of their culture and WLB.

The PE culture is sick. The 20 something VP was rude to our partner because our team took thanksgiving and the day before off and it was in the engagement letter that we were gonna be off. He kept emphasizing that his team did our job while we were on a break. Dude we are not sick like you and we have lives. I see something about how s**t the PE culture is in every deal we support.

Like these sickos make fun of us for working 80+ hours weeks for them and taking thanksgiving off.

I have the opportunity to act as outside counsel for a new construction company (commercial project management). I’ve been practicing for 4 years and have experience in small business law, none in construction. I am hesitant to take this on, and cannot tell if it is just new lawyer jitters or common sense. PC knows I have not worked in construction law, but has worked with me previously and trusts me for the job.

Imagine if America actually attempted to heal itself after the civil war: Formerly enslaved Americans receive reparations. Not sure why this would be a dealbreaker for voters given that they decided it was a non-issue after the precedent was set by Don Jr?

I’m thoroughly enjoying this administration’s approach to domestic and foreign policy. In areas where Obama needed to be cautious due to historical significance of his presidency and Trump needed to be boisterous to maintain the false bravado, Biden is acting decisively.

I am firmly centrist. I can empathize with plenty of policy on both sides of the fence.

After 3 years in DC, here's my big takeaway:

As long as there is one party demanding our priorities be combustion, boomsticks, and zealotry, we will continue to decline as a nation.

We live in a world where our ability to quickly and intelligently address the challenges of modern society and ever-advancing technologies is being terminally stunted by people who live in a dangerous fantasy. It must not be allowed to continue. Vote early, vote often, vote local. We can't repeat the Obama years.
