The GTM strategy at my company is not the best or strongest. Does anyone have any books, articles or suggestions on how to learn more about this topic? Marketing wise I feel like my team checks the boxes but every time we are getting for a launch it doesn’t hit the mark.

Where do you think things are lacking?

I think we lack the ability to understand why we are creating certain things. The product team will create new features without giving us a reason on why it was created other than, customer asked for it/competitors are doing it/it will be the next big thing. When we release we don’t get the traction that we need.

GTM as in go-to-market?

Sounds like y’all need a product marketing team!

Hello, All! I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the Women's Conference among other sources. I'm at the VP level and have started a couple of companies, so nothing too junior, but open to many topics. Please share any speakers, books, webinars, or events that you may come across.

When considering moving to a new company, how important do you find the stock value / trends, given the present state of the economy?

I’m a new graduate tackling the marketing of a big company alone (which was not part of the deal when I applied) and I want to move on. Part of my challenge has been that I don’t feel like I’ve done anything particularly impressive in the short 5 months I’ve been here or made large improvement to my skills, and I don’t know how to find a company that does offer mentorship and coaching through the entry level position, clearly. Has anyone else been in a similar position and can share any advice?

Does anyone else feel guilty taking easy during slow periods at work? I’m on at all hours when needed but feel like I’m not earning my salary on days or weeks (rarely) when things are slow.

Hoping for some advice re: job interviews. How can I respond to questions around measurable impacts of my marketing work on revenue? In previous roles because of lack of resources / attribution system we could only measure things like leads, attendance rate, click rate etc. not the actual final impact on B2B revenue generated. Very good feedback always from management & I believe I did a great job, but feeling I couldn’t point out to real final outcomes. Afraid this will hurt my chances.

Just started a new job two weeks and I’m pretty sure I’ve accidentally pissed off a VP. Basically it was a miscommunication on who was doing what after a meeting we had. My boss (also a VP), myself, and two others felt we would do it one way - with me being the main contributor, and apparently the other VP took it differently and had her team doing the same task. Now it seems she’s annoyed at me/us. How do I salvage this?!

I have a phone interview with a local govt agency for a marketing/communications manager role. The role is on-site, but I won’t take it unless they allow hybrid flexibility (makes my parent life SO much easier and more affordable). At what point in the process would you bring this up? I’d like to convince them they want to hire me and then use that to negotiate, but is that too late in the process? (PS: I have an MPA, nonprofit or govt work is the direction my career is headed.)

Morning fishes, I have a question. In my current role I deal with a lot of senior execs as clients - agency side and client side. Lovely, wonderful people. And I am looking to move outside my current company - been here for 6 years, feel it’s time for change. These clients can open up the world of opportunities for me. But how to I tactfully tap them up for any opportunities. I know in many instances that poaching will happen by senior team but I’m trying to hint that I am open to a move.

I accepted a new job offer (40% salary increase) but the start up is really struggling to find someone to organize their main events. This would only take me max 5hrs/week.
