I wake through the night.
I got home at 11 last night, went to bed at 12.... couldn't understand why I couldn't sleep past 5... turns out it was actually 7 a.m, my watch was still on West Coast time. Almost missed my appointment.
Always struggled with sleeping ever since I was a child
Stimulants don't help it
Ive tried melatonin (useless), zolpidem and other z drugs (fuck you up), belsomra/suvorexant (good), and recreational drugs (decent)
Best thing that works for me is good sleep hygiene and habit
When stressed out can't sleep either
Also regularly wake up 45 min -1hr after going to sleep feeling fully rested. Impossible to sleep after that
Inability to fall asleep on travel day night before/night of and hoping that 3-4 hours of sleep two nights in a row will not make you a complete monster
I’ve suffered from insomnia my entire life. The thing that helps the most for me is a good sleep routine. If That doesn’t work, I like Clonazepam. A very low dose should be enough to put you to sleep with very little drowsyness.
