Good for you, PwC1, for being such a great parent

That kinda sounds good right now.

Shit I basically just ate the same thing #adultobesity

^have to say that is BS. They will eat what you teach them to eat.

PS - I have 5 kids.

D1 I am guessing you are either lying about having 5 kids or you are the father who, let's be real, probably has zero to do with their eating habits. Step the fuck down from your high horse.

like

Like I said, good for you PwC1. For finding healthy options at McDonalds

like

Have to confess... Thought I'd never do that but when traveling with kids, there's not a good option for them at the airport so I let them eat whatever they want 😞

like

"It's so hard to find health options for my kids". When McDonalds will sub apples for French Fries in a Happy Meal. If you don't care what your kids eat, just say it. Don't make excuses.

like

@A2. You should be saying that to PWC1. He's the one with 5 kids, not D1.

like

My thoughts exactly, A2

like

Pwc1 is in consulting with 5 kids???

like

Get emmmmmm D1

If you're gone during the week, it's your job to contribute to the vision. And the hammer when one of the kids steps out of line.

Also it's not that people don't care about their kids. They might be too lazy or tired to say no to junk food at that moment.

Yea PWC1 my b

Hello! A senior associate that I work for is expecting and she will be going on parental leave soon. She has been a great mentor to me and so I wanted to get/send her a gift congratulating her on the new baby once she goes on her leave. Any ideas for a gift? (We aren’t incredibly close so it doesn’t seem as easy as shopping for a friend/family member who just had a baby, if that makes sense) TIA!

We have our nanny a 10% pay raise in September to mark her two year anniversary with us (amounted to something like $2.50 more per hour). We were expecting (I was seven months pregnant at the time) and I told her it was (1) annual raise but (2) would also cover the fact that she’d be taking care of another baby. This morning she asks us whether we can talk about her raise now that she’ll be watching an extra kid. I awkwardly was like “well that’s what the prior raise covers” and she (contd)

I feel terrible. My mum and my husband both told me I am fat and need to lose weight ASAP. They were not trying to insult me, they both really think they have my best in interest. I am a mother of 11 months old twins, am still breastfeeding and currently have 11kg more than before pregnancy. I was always skinny and before pregnancy wore size 8. I feel so bad for hearing that, and feel like a failure on all levels.

Struggling at work (first time manager, re-orgs, toxic culture) for the last 6 months. Experiencing secondary infertility and PCOS. Decided to hold out to utilize my mat benefits, hopefully to become pregnant after a few rounds of medications and lifestyle changes. No luck. Now work has gotten worse and I’m so burnt out. Been applying to jobs and think I’m close to an offer. Have started seeing a specialist but now scared of TTC with a potential new job offer. Has anyone been here before?
