The kind of promotion we wish for!

Why are Asians always more hard working and smarter than their American counterparts but the Americans are the ones that usually get the promotion?

Anyone over here who have lost their mothers at an early age due to suicide or any other reason? My spouse is a competent educated well earning man and I think he'll be able to raise my 2 kids. My life is not what I had imagined and I don't have the strength to fight because I don't even know what I want. I feel it'll be better if I'm not around for my parents, for my spouse, it's just my kids that I think of that quasi stops me. But I feel even they'll be better off with someone else. Numb.

I’m 1-2 years in to EY, about to make Senior this coming promotion point. I’m honestly not enthused about staying much longer and I’m getting really interested in venture capital and startups. Advice?

I have a young team, between 24-28 years old, mostly women. I’ve had several of them tell me that they think they should be promoted after 6 -12 months in the role. There are some that are amazing and I could see fast-tracking them in 18-24 months, but no idea where this expectation of good performance = immediately promoted. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I just old?

Guys anybody from Verizon have received the hike percentage for performing rating. I think this year also they won't adjust the package with market standards. ? Can anyone throw some light on this. For last 2 yrs i am receiving performing and also manager haven't initiated the mts 3 promotion. Please share a way to get a hike than getting only 10 percent
