Or maybe we could stop judging people based on how they look and just hire the most qualified candidates because clearly PA sucks at hiring competent people
Lack of diversity at big4 in general could use a lot of improvement.
I would urge you to reconsider your definition and perception of diversity.... It's easy to look at surface level traits and assume that there is no "diversity", but you don't know the individuals backgrounds and experiences. I think that in general, people get too caught up and jump to immediate conclusions.
That said, yes, of course improvements can be made, and we're far from perfection. However, in general, I believe that our firms are striving to be as inclusive as possible while hiring the best candidates for the job. It's to their benefit to gain multiple trains of thought and diverse talent.
Not saying you're wrong. Just offering some food for thought. As always YMMV, but I find my office is very diverse (background, ethnicity, gender, etc.)
The recruiting events I’ve attended tell me the pool of candidates isn’t very diverse
Yeah even speaking as someone here on a visa, you don't need to look outside of the country to find plenty of diversity and untapped potential.
Yeah bc they don’t want to help apply the h1b work visa for entry levels
The government has limited those. Not the fault of the firm. Talk to the President.
What's the right percentage of each gender and ethnicity?
PWC: agree
Why do you care?
Wow. I taught intern training this week and my group was very diverse. Maybe just your office/group?
They hire the best candidates regardless of skin color. It'll change year to year.
Is any of the big 4 still sponsor entry level h1b? Just wondering.
PwC doesn’t sponsor entry level h1bs unless you specifically work in some tech and specialty groups which require some special skills. KPMG doesn’t sponsor at all even you are a senior
Yeah diversity advertisement compare to reality at the big 4 are disgusting. Human instinct I bet
