Just had a “tech screen” with a startup where the interviewer was rude and condescending. Kept berating me when I made a minor mistake and talked over me when I’d try to explain my thought process.

Note to interviewers, do better. It’s a candidate’s market and you’ll have a hard time attracting talent with a toxic culture.

There’s a lot of changes - going from people management to IC, from a stable company into a startup chaos, unpredictable stock options value, etc. Also I really do like the people I work with here. Direct reports are awesome, great peers, and a solid manager.
