But what’s the strategy to the opportunity Mini has in this market? -Diversity. -Right. Ok. It’s called Mini so....I guess the opposite of that is big? So we can make Diversity about bigness. Must be. Looks like it was shot in shoreditch, about 20 mins walk from their own office on my dad’s old camera phone. There’s no strategy or idea.

Sorry coming back to this dumpster fire again. What is the attempt at the idea? Why is there a bunch of Diverse People arguing, interspersed with a bunch of stock image puppets laughing over fries? It’s atrocious in every way but I don’t even get the narrative they were trying to communicate?

NOT DEFENDING THIS AT ALL, but I do work on an auto client and my best guess is they weren’t going for diversity per se, they were going for a brand relaunch that is more “show the people / show the human side” “let’s be the fun stories car” (like every other car company on earth in the last few years, oh wait, except for the ones who fancy themselves “the Apple of auto”)
It’s literally the exact same spot most automobile ads have... so banal
