The news is making me feel really depressed and anxious and I’m already on meds for anxiety. It’s hard to keep away from it because it’s everywhere! Any ideas on how to cope?

- Consume less of the “news” especially broadcast news is too heavy on “breaking news” and perceived relevance and urgency of what they report on
- Read into stoicism: for me this Philosoph raised a few good points and helps you to change the perspective or rather gives you focus on what you can actually influence (e.g., your emotions and how you react to them) vs things you cannot influence (e.g., the news).

Delete Instagram, turn off notifications and delete news apps, don’t watch tv, go to the gym, get some sun

Literally no clue what’s going on in the world outside of my bubble and that’s fine. I can only control what I can control anyway.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Anyone here deal with chronic back pain and SI joint dysfunction? My muscles have asymmetrical strength due to over compensation so when I get tired my pelvis rotates and hips get out of alignment which aggravates the pain. I've done several rounds of PT over the years and can never maintain it. I'm trying to find something maintainable.

Think i just had blood sugar scare. Was feeling an extreme amount of tiredness and took blood sugar, at 56 mg/dL. Immediately ate and got bloods up to 115. Never had this happen before. Non-diabetic that I'm aware of but diabetes runs in family. What the hell happened today?!

I’m traveling again for work and while it took me a while to get back into it, I’m almost as efficient as I was pre-Covid. My issue is that when I get home, I am exhausted. It feels like it takes me a day to recover from any travel that is more than an overnight trip.
