Does anyone ever feel not respected or in some cases straight up disrespected on airlines or hotels in spite of status due to age, gender, race, or otherwise?
What is the point of HR? Supposedly champions diversity and ⬇️pay gap??? I’m on the inside -all but 1 of new leaders got £30K pay rises. The 1 who didn’t is female, muslim, POC, 40+ -expose them or not?
Lol. Glad to see DE&I leadership at Disney is so diverse. https://www.cbr.com/disney-diversity-councils-bob-chapek-bob-iger/
In your opinion, what can companies do to make racial diversity in management and corporate leadership positions a priority?
@women, what are some of the ways you experience bias in the workplace because of your gender? And what do you wish men (or everyone) would do about it?
"At Accenture we have an unwavering commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity. We have zero tolerance for hatred, bigotry and racism of any kind." -Julie Sweet
Any get offended that you’re used as a diversity & inclusion chip for presenting at orals because the other teams are bringing all men?
Why do firms care about diversity and inclusion from a business / marketing perspective? Aside from (1) keeping in line with public/market tenor, (2) recruiting summers, and (3) ticking off the D&I requirements of certain clients vis a vis their service providers, is there anything else I'm missing?
When it comes to recruiting, is it good for the industry when the first word out of HR is "diversity" and not "talent?"
Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.
“39% of our new hires and 11% of our senior leaders are women.”@Mckinsey http://www.wsj.com/articles/for-a-company-to-achieve-gender-diversity-the-ceo-cant-do-it-alone-1443600381
Any female partners/MDs here? How did you overcome gender obstacles? Any advice to those of us who aspire to get there one day?
Feeling like consulting isn’t the best career for me b/c of the lifestyle and I met someone who I hate being apart from every wk. But I always wanted to reduce gender gap, so I feel conflicted/guilty.
Philly Agency hiring, and former minority staff have moved on/upward. Great group of people, with leadership committed to Diversity. Having a hard time finding candidates spread word https://www.20nine.com/about-us/
Anyone here work for FedEx? In the last six months or so, I’ve applied for three separate attorney positions in their Pittsburgh office. I meet the qualifications and the experience requirements. I know this isn’t an exact science, but according to LinkedIn, I was in the top 10% of applicants for all three positions. I can’t even get an interview. The positions seem really interesting and I love the company’s commitment to diversity. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong!
wtf does a "chief diversity officer" do exactly? forgive my dumb white ass but besides recruiting multicultural people and maybe hosting some events, is there really place for a c-suite role here?
Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.
I come from a racist, xenophobic family that thinks feminism is ridiculous - lovely people, I know . My nephew is almost 3 and such a sweet boy, for now. I want to buy him some thing for Christmas that is subtly educational and teaches him the values of inclusion etc. Where are some good ideas on gifts for him? I have already bought him the Marie Curie and Amelia Earhart books, which passed my family’s ‘screening’
What are legitimate options in careers for a tax manager coming from a midsize PA firm and 7 years of experience? I am feeling totally burned out of PA going to have 2,000 billable hours by EOY. Would really appreciate all suggestions!
Is there a way to refer people that aren’t experienced hires? I’ve heard referral bonuses are just for if you refer experienced people who then get hired, but was wondering if there is a way to flag a non-experienced person applying who you think would be a good fit
Apply your skills to create positive behavior change and social impact. We are hiring a strategist/comms planner for a public health marketing agency based in San Diego. I’ve been with the agency for years and love the brain candy. Always a good challenge to dig into. Role will focus mainly on substance use prevention - ranging from fentanyl, meth, alcohol, marijuana for teens, etc. Ideally seeking candidates working in Pacific time, but recruiting nationally. Agency experience a plus! https://rescueagency.com/careers/position-description?gnk=job&gni=8a7887ac77831b52017784299090435c

Question about Covid screenings. About to do a shoot. They’re doing a rapid antibody blood test that you have to pass before you’re let on set. But I thought that these only detect covid 1-2 weeks after infection at the earliest and aren’t useful for screening. Any experience/thoughts?
How has your WFH experience during the pandemic impacted (or not) your sense of loyalty / willingness to sacrifice for: - your team - your client - your firm
What are the best office locations (worldwide) for culture, perks, WLB, etc. at your firm/agency?
Hi everyone, looking to get into 3 of the big 4. Came out of PwC but need help. Also looking for recruiters that have been helpful in the D.C. area. I would love to get back to work but need help?
Any PE firms particularly known for hiring from MBB? I’ve been doing my own search but looking for more insight
Wharton EMBA worth it? Late career starter so limited white collar experience but interesting background/past life. Also have kids to support so can’t do a full time program. Want the MBA for career boost ($), as an entry to faang/MBB and to have more security for future opportunities. Worth it? Does the EMBA have the same faang/MBB recruitment access and weight as full time?
Anybody else tired of working from home/remote?
I’m interviewing for BCG and had a principal reach out to me for a zoom chat. Is this normal for principals to reach out or is this a positive sign?
Anyone from Accenture T&O know if you’re hiring?
Anyone in NYC hiring Junior Creatives?
What are some cons of working at MBB? Bad work life balance is probably the biggest but ‘what else’?
Did anyone make the switch from one b4 to another? Did you successfully transition/assimilate into the new b4? To those that did, do you recommend it? Any downside?
