The recruiter I was working with said they couldn’t go over a certain number (which I know is a low-ball number). Is there still an opportunity to negotiate in the final stages of the interview process?

yes - get the offer and say you’re really not comfortable with a number less than X and list why (CoL etc). You may be able to negotiate different payment - ie more PTO - However you need to be prepared to walk.

Yes. Get them to really want you. It’s possible your potential boss can squeeze the CFO for a little more cash.

Hi all. Quick question - I had a phone call with a recruiter from EY about a Senior Consultant role in FSO. Hi all. I am interviewing for a position at 1 of the MBBs. The JD said, they needed someone with 1-2 YOE. I have 2 YOE. And I came across someone who has been hired at same position right after undergrad. They can obviously do so, I cant say its right/wrong. But now I am not getting a +ve vibe, as to if I go in I'd be working with a junior at same level. If I get through to the final stage, should I ask for a raise accordingly? How should I bring this up?

How long did you wait between interview rounds? I had my first R1 interview in may, and found out around Memorial Day that I was moving on to the next round. Since that day, I’ve followed up a few times (1x every 2-3 weeks) but it’s been radio silent. The Hiring Manager who I have spoken to said I’m still on their candidate list. I know the process at Google takes awhile, but wondering if I should continue to follow up/if this is an indication. It’s for a Pgm role in GCP
