What is the average Manager salary in Netherlands? (4 big or MBB or boutiques)

Anyone feel YOE (like 15+) on a resume is a detractor from getting offers at either big tech or late stage startups? I’ve been in this game for a while (mainly govt gigs) and am finding it difficult to break into “big tech.” I want to change lanes from govt to commercial but when I bring up compensation it always feels so contentious, and I really cannot understand why. (Senior level: base 180k, bonus 25k, profit 45k, 100% benefits paid). My experience is dynamic, I haven’t stagnated so to speak

Currently make 75k in a low cost of living area as a government employee. Big 4 tax background with 5 years experience. Currently working in regulation. I have an opportunity to move back into tax but the catch is it’s in San Francisco. Offer is 130k with a target 10% bonus and 5% pension contribution. Analytics or Cloud (where comp is higher or equal for x period and is potentially easier to stay in past time y)

I am in the final stages of interviewing at a company in a mid-size regional city in the southeast. I just found out they want to keep salary near $110k. I have 10 YOE and told them I’m targeting roles closer to $150k. I don’t know the full offering of benefits but assume it is bad (I know they have no current 401(k) match or paid parental leave, e.g.). Is there any way to negotiate this up or should I give up? $110 seems extremely lowball to me. That’s what first-years at big firms make here.

Like I expect my radiologist friend to be able to answer all my medical questions, my company expects me to be able to answer all their legal questions. What is your process when you just don’t know something? Not necessarily the big ticket items that you’d send to an outside counsel, but something smaller? We don’t have westlaw etc so I end up googling for the most part. Does anyone have a process they’d care to comment on?

To those who went from corporate big law to in-house, do you feel that your legal skills have plateaued? I’ve seen articles saying that’s what happens but would like opinions from people who have actually gone through the experience.

I entered law school in my late 30's as a second career. I have strong pre-law experience (Executive of small company, 60 employees, $4m budget, MBA, etc.) and law school credentials (Top 10%, Managing Editor of Law Review). I'm willing to make less coming out of school than I did before, but want to ultimately land as in-house counsel with a decent wlb and make $200k+. I'm looking for advice on the best path to get there and how long I can expect it to take.
