The Salary Trap - Gift or a Curse

Could a great pay and benefit package be a cleverly placed trap?

Experimented with some interviews at different companies to see what a senior role would pay out. Pretty much in line with what I make now and most of the companies pay less. The company I work at is pretty great with a good team.

What would potential recruiters be able to negotiate on if they wanted the candidate bad enough?

What is the “trap”? It sounds like you are compensated well at your current position.

Final round! Panel interview w an assignment to present some ideas on how to increase customers for 1 of 5 key audience segments.
I’m most familiar with 1 as it’s the audience I work with at current job. Not enough info/experience with other 2 segments. Remaining segments I know enough but not as confidently.

Will it look like I took the easy way out if I chose my segment? They know it’s my current audience and has been for 8 yrs. Would love to hear your thoughts!

J&J or Google? I’m in final stages and expecting an offer on both ends. TC seems about the same but J&J is based in Skillman, NJ whereas Google is in Austin, TX. I am trying to move to being a Data Scientist for tech companies. Currently working as a Analytics Manager on the ad agency side and don't directly manage anyone at the moment. My analytics team is very small, just me and the director.

How do you answer questions when hiring manager asks if I currently manage people. I have helped train people in the past.

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus. On top of that I have 5 years experience and a masters in finance. I’m good at my job and receive positive reviews from everyone. I feel like I should be compensated better but the company says that’s what they think I’m worth. Any help or insights would be great!

I wasn't even okaay with Xk tbh, and now they've gone ahead and reduced it by 10k! I'm attending the final round on Friday - do y'all have any tips on how I can negotiate my salary to X+10 and let them know that this is highly unprofessional?

When asked how many years of experience I have, how should I answer?
