How to save tax?
I started working for my company about 6 weeks ago and I was originally hired to work from a specific location closer to my home. I was told the 1st day of my employment that the location “is not ready yet” and that I would be working out of a temp location further from my home. It has been really inconvenient for me to say the very least and the remote option is unavailable to me until after the probation period which is 6 months. How should I approach having this conversation with my director?

I join a minute late so I don't have to make small talk with people

I join meetings a few minutes late, because back to back meetings are all I do all day, most days.

Always join 1-2 minutes late so you can avoid small talk.

The worst is “Hey, are you joining?” pings within the first minute of a meeting.
Yes, I’m joining… apologies for taking 5 secs to hang up the last call.
You have never worked in Japan. Feels like there is a meeting prior to the meeting.
If I join early it's because I remembered the call and easier to dial in a few minutes early than a few minutes late because I forgot. It's about my time, not your perception of my time
Perception is reality
For those worried about optics and being early to meetings, you can have multiple instances of teams open. So you can be in multiple meetings simultaneously. https://youtu.be/aCWhRtl9JIY
God I hope you’re not an SM at Deloitte 🤢
Nope 🙂 I will say though, 90% of the folks joining early are clients. The next largest group is PPMDs. I think my logic is sound.
