Has anyone used dockatot grand for cosleeping with an 8+ month old? Would you recommend it? My baby usually sleeps in her cot but when she gets sick or has teething pain she only sleeps next to me. I haven’t used dockatot before.

My 2 siblings and I are going to inherit our father’s house near the beach. All three of us agree to not sell it. Ideally, I’d like to keep it as a vacation house that we all share with each of us having our own primary houses elsewhere, but one of my siblings, my brother, wants to live long term in the inherited house and make it his primary home. As co-owners, is there anything my sister & I should think about if we agree to let our brother make it his primary home? (It’s worth ~$5mil)

Hi Fish, I have a personal question. My parent has offered to pay off my student loans. He’s leaning towards giving me 15k every year (maximum gift allowance) to pay them off. I believe just him just paying off the full balance at once is better. We’re wondering if there are any tax implications to a parent paying off their child’s student loans all at once themself or if we should go the 15k a year route.
Thank you!

Any PTs who have gone on a maternity leave after working as an independent contractor in a private practice setting? I'm currently paying into EI myself as a contractor to ensure I have something for a mat leave but concerned the clinic owner doesn't have to gaurantee I have a job when I return since I'm not an employee. I love my job but thinking maybe I should try to secure a hospital job or another practice setting :/ Any advice?

Moms, especially moms in tax, I wonder if I should leave public accounting and go work in private (PE fund). My friends have been telling me that public offers more flexibility, which is critical when you have a baby. A bit about myself - I made manager last year and mainly work on private equity/hedge fund taxes. Is it truly less flexibility in private? Should I stay in public for the sake of flexibility? Any suggestion/advice is appreciated!

How much do people pay for a nanny starting at 6 months? We are going to pay $15 an hour for 7-8 hours a day for at least 3 days a week. Is this low or to much? I get frustrated reading reviews about how much people pay there nanny’s (which is less) bc I am now using the money I put away for savings for child care.

Hi SP’s! Anyone here have experience with telling their child about the divorce and how he will never have certain things (like daddy sleeping over or mommy sleeping over) etc? I really need some guidance right now. Feeling really broken as my son (5) is constantly battling his feelings of wanting to be with mommy vs daddy. He often tells us, “when I’m with mommy, I miss daddy. When im with daddy, I miss mommy!” And would often cry bc he can’t have us both. We try to co-parent and be in (cont)

So back in July I went out for a new position at my small company that was rapidly expanding (Account Manager). Was notified that I didn't get the full promotion but was told instead that I was still moving up and was going to be Customer Service/Account Manager Support. The new Account Manager had no customer service experience within our niche industry. I instead had to help help him with all customer service issues.

I feel like I am being taken advantage of. ADVISE APPRECIATED.

Also Management: You better work a minimum of 50 hours a week this busy season or your utilization will drop into the 70s.
