Send it, a week is not too late. Don’t feel obligated to, but if you want to, a week later is fine.

Send it. I might not recall every thank you I get, BUT I definitely do recall those who do not send a thank you.
This sounds very creepy
For a hand written and snail mailed thank you note, the guidance is within two weeks of the event. You have the opportunity to go above and beyond by sending a note to their house, thanking both the VP and her partner (if applicable) for hosting.
Y’all so PC lol… just text him thanks or when u bump into him in hallway. Genuineness is more important than PC thank you notes
The fact that people value these things differently is exactly why you always send a thank you note. If they don’t value it you’re wasting 5 minutes to write it, but if they do value it you avoid being branded as ungrateful or rude (per one of the comments above).
B1 may be right in most cases, but they almost certainly have also rubbed some people the wrong way without realizing it (whether that’s absurd or not)
Yeah the VP is keeping a ledger of who’s written a thank you note. You happen to be the only defaulter amongst 9 participants. You should not only write a thank you note, but also an apology note for expressing your remorse for the 3- day delay.
And since you have so much time on your hands to worry about such things, you should volunteer to clean, cook and do your VP’s laundry.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be polite.
Never too late to express gratitude !

Send a note along with a nice bottle of wine easy!
While there are services that do allow you to ship alcohol, you cannot just put alcohol in a package and use a major shipping service, legally.
Send it
Did you thank him after the dinner? It’s ok to leave it at that this time, and probably next time send a thank you text message or note too.
I’d send a note! Not too late - better now than never.
Absolutely send it. Good to recognize people’s effort!

Hi VP - thank you for hosting a great dinner last week - it was so nice to get together with the rest of the team - I truly appreciate it. Thanks. -OP
Send a bottle of wine with it, he’ll forgive the delay!
I never sent such a note after an event like that. I always thought a “thank you” in presence was enough.
I am curious about it now.
Do you mean a thank you note sent by mail? a physical piece of paper sent to a physical address?
wouldn’t an email be enough, in 2022?
What is this the 1950s? A dinner party and thank you notes. Can’t people just do their work.
DoorDash some flowers for the following Friday night. That way, they can look at them all weekend and think about how sweet you are to do so.
