My husband has a strong sense of duty towards his parents - I’ve been very encouraging of it - making sure he has the freedom to be there for his family and parents in whatever way they need or want (e.g. sleeping over at his parents at least 2 nights, attending family events, making sure he goes to all their doc appts, maintaining a relationship with his sisters and their children, etc). His family and I are not from similar backgrounds so we have our struggles so I keep a distance (more below)
7 months pregnant and skin is itching like crazy especially around my belly. Someone please tell me this is normal and will go away after delivery
Did anyone find themselves feeling disconnected with husband post baby? New mom here. Feel like my husband and I hardly talk of anything other than the baby and her daily needs. In case we ever do, we always end up fighting. Feeling unsure whether our relationship will last. I know the root of the problem is that we don’t get much time for each other. But just wanting to know if this somewhat normal, or should I be prepared for the worst.
Really need advice/opinions. My close friends are having their wedding the day of my son’s 1st birthday (poor planning & lack of consideration on their part). I could move the bday to the following wk but I’m 1) hurt they didn’t ask if we could make it if we’re in the wedding party 2) already canceled our gender reveal, babymoon & baby shower last yr due to covid & this is the ONE thing i was looking forward to now that we’re vaccinated. Moms what would you do? How would you feel about this?
Anyone dealt with a parent that has dementia and lives far away (too far to drive and visit)? They live with another family member so not alone. Is there anything that helps the condition? Advice?

Is it okay to look for a new job when pregnant? These layoffs don’t look so great at Deloitte.
Hey 🐠! I wanted to share a podcast that I came across this week. It’s targeted towards people who grew up in homes with mental illness. I myself had a mother who was likely Borderline/Bipolar (per a psychiatrist I saw myself - i hadn’t even heard of Borderline at the time). While I have ‘divorced’ my mother, I had a daughter about a year ago my mother has started spinning up again. I went looking for information to validate that I am making the right decision and found this podcast cathartic.
PwC parental leave benefits?
Brenda's got a baby.
Hello! A senior associate that I work for is expecting and she will be going on parental leave soon. She has been a great mentor to me and so I wanted to get/send her a gift congratulating her on the new baby once she goes on her leave. Any ideas for a gift? (We aren’t incredibly close so it doesn’t seem as easy as shopping for a friend/family member who just had a baby, if that makes sense) TIA!
I feel terrible. My mum and my husband both told me I am fat and need to lose weight ASAP. They were not trying to insult me, they both really think they have my best in interest. I am a mother of 11 months old twins, am still breastfeeding and currently have 11kg more than before pregnancy. I was always skinny and before pregnancy wore size 8. I feel so bad for hearing that, and feel like a failure on all levels.
Seeing the “3% pledge for pay equity” popping up next to agency names here. Interesting that our Global CEO is a woman and don’t see us on that list. We also have the worst parental leave. 🤔
Hey ladies. Can we take a second to talk about friendship? As a working mother of two that works from home, I’m finding it hard to making friends or maintaining friendships. I’m the only one in my friend groups with kids and I feel left out and alone a lot of the time. Like I’ve been downgraded as a friend because I’m not as available. How have you built your tribe of support and friendship as an adult? Can anyone relate?
Hi Moms- Curious to get a sense of what your different parental leave policies look like and how you have liked them. My company gave 12 weeks paid and I felt it was woefully short for my first. Before having my second, I'm interested in pushing my company to increase the time and am curious to hear what other companies offer. Beyond just the time, was your company flexible? Is it the same for all parents? Did it feel like enough? Thank you!
Any tips for traveling with a baby? Will be flying with a 4 month old in a few months. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm having problems getting staffed and I'm on the beach, I'm a recent new hire. I start paternity leave in November so it seems that everyone is staying away. I split my paternity leave as that's...
I have so much stuff to finish for 9/15 and my mind decides it's a good time to go through heavily missing my late mother.
How do you keep your glow (mental positivity, feeling grounded and happy vs off and anxious etc)...after returning from some kind of decent break be it vacay or other leave (maternity)?
I work near Detroit. My district says no masks are mandatory. My Open House seemed like a breeding ground for Covid germs. Plus with of course no A/C it was 110° in my room. Fun.
Non-US / UK consulting partners - I have been long following the posts here. What I realise is that the US partners feel very strongly that being a B4 partner is best opportunity once could have (maybe just followed by FAANG). With the $1M+ pay and a pension, potentially it makes a lot of sense. With no pensions and some of start ups, Tech companies paying more in other countries, global roles (vs local focus) - what are your views about considering opportunities outside B4
Looking for someone from KPMG Canada for a referral to a SCM Consultant job. I have around 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations and SAP implementation. Appreciate the help.
