Theoretically, if I have one year of experience in audit and I'm trying to get into FDD, should I apply for experienced associate positions or first year associate positions at other big 4s? I know the market isnt hot rn but this is just a theoretical.

I’m currently a 5th year senior manager at EY - and the path to PP seems to be an uphill battle with very limited slots available in next few years- primarily because we hired many DAPs last year. With my desire to make partner, I’m considering to make the move to ACN- what level can I reasonably come in at? I know there are many factors but curious of everyone’s perspectives.

Hoping that Company A will release me but it didn't happen and mean while i also continued for 20+ days. Later on realized dual working and left Company B. I’ve been thinking of making a switch from audit to TAS. I’m currently a S1 (2 busy seasons experience), and rated as a top performer at my firm. I’m contacted by Kroll, but recruiters there told me that since I haven’t got any TAS experience, I should be applying for their Analyst role instead of Senior Associate. Honestly, I want to switch to TAS but not that desperate to leave my firm. Anyway, I just wonder if you guys have the same situation and usually how long it takes to get promoted?

Does EY GDS provide promotion as part of retention process? I expected promotion to Senior 2 to Senior 3 (Yeah it’s not a normal progression, I heard it’s a major step in the ladder). If I resign with good offer, will they provide promotion (considering they’re ready to retain me)? Does anyone got promoted as part of retention process?

Had some interviews with Deloitte this week in FDD was supposed to have 2 more next week but they changed scheduling and said 1 of the partners was busy and the other just wants to do a phone interview rather than video now. Am I being paranoid or is this actually a bad sign
