Just hope some are aware how we took a public health issue and turned it into a political one. Only in America, during an election year. It’s so sad
This wouldn’t be a political issue if our president could competently lead us through the most terrifying health crisis in my lifetime. It would be a crisis where we would come together.

Let’s not make it political. Let’s just save lives. It’s exhausting wasting time on pointing fingers.

It's hard not to make it political when the response has been ok on one side and defiantly awful on the other.
When the President starts listening to, and providing, decent advice and leadership, that will end. Until then, masks will be a political decision more than a health one.

“I can’t believe our country allowed a public health crisis to become politicized. Way to go republicans you a holes”. Truly magnificent lack of self awareness.
P1 - nowhere did I indicate it’s one party’s fault. The article is showing some, albeit, cherry picked statistics that indicate this is becoming a political issue and republican run states are far worse off than democrat run states. Your response shows me and everyone else you can’t take facts at face value and have to assume a liberal (which I am not) is just drumming up drama to prove a point

Let’s look at science and data!!!

Agree that everyone should wear masks and that states can enact better policies.
BUT this data is extremely CHERRYPICKED and we shouldn’t be drawing any conclusions about Democrat vs. Republican performance.
You could pick different 2 week periods during this pandemic and get OPPOSITE results. States differ widely in terms of demographics, density, etc. None of which was accounted for. These weren’t even weighted by state population.
The truth is, cases are rising in most of the country, regardless of Democrat vs. Republican control.
- In California, which is Democrat-controlled and requires masks, cases have increased 90%.
- In South Dakota, which is Republican-controlled and doesn’t require masks, cases have not increased (0%).
- There are Democrats who don’t wear masks and Republicans who wear masks, and vice versa.
Articles like this MAKE THIS MORE POLITICAL. When instead we should all just be encouraging everyone to wear masks and social distance.
There’s plenty of people on BOTH SIDES who are not taking this seriously. Just look at most of the young people in all states not wearing masks outside and seeing their friends (both liberal and conservative). IS THIS YOU?

@OP- Then why post those exact cherrypicked statistics as your main post? Maybe add some commentary next time? 👍🏼
