All fun and games until another cyborg but with a built in skimmer chip shakes your hand 😶

Also, tech goes obsolete all the time. Five years down you're gonna be cutting that thing out, assuming it doesn't create problems in the interim by reacting with your hand over the years

Hi Miami! Any good recommendations for a group dinner with ~35 ppl in Miami Beach? Ideally under 75 pp but can go up to 100. Ty! 🙏🏽

How can one leave india without masters? Directly applying for jobs, how hard is that?

Why does it seem so difficult to land an interview at BAH? I only apply to jobs I qualify for and can’t land anything, even with a referral. Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Hi fishes,
Cisco or Samsung semiconductor? Both are offering same package.

Next week FAANG earnings begin with NFLX and following 2 weeks all the big boys go. Are earnings going to be catalyst for next leg up or next leg down? I don’t think better than expected works anymore like it did in the summer. One thing to note though all the major tech companies but Apple are trading below where they did at Q3 earnings.

Hi fishes, I am working for client and I am finding myself isolated at office as everyone seems to be working like donkeys. No fun no WLB. Just work and leave. And they are monitoring us on 9 hours working time. I recently joined IBM and I have never worked at client location before. Feeling too low these days.

Is it ok to be short and direct in an email? Do you ever do that with colleagues, admin, or parents? Or do you always take the time to add niceties like “I hope you’re well,” and “I’m sorry to reach out about this again” and “thank you so much for your perspective! I really appreciate it!” — before just stating your stance, reiterating what you already said, or asking a question?

I have resigned from EY last month and I still didn't relieving letter. When I call them or mail them every time they are saying some technical issue and its been 2 weeks they said the same response. I’m a Business System Analyst II. I have experience in data management for clients. Intermediate in SQL. Configured the system to clients requirements. Do you think the economy is going to be bad in America for a while? I sort of feel like the down-sides from Covid haven't affected highly educated tech workers.

Is moving from Amazon to Google considered upward mobility?

Nothing changes but technology

Considering a jump from FTE back to consulting. I have roughly 8 IT YOE, CSPO, CSM, and my MBA. I'm considering a Sr Product Owner role with the mind set of moving to Product Management within the next 1-2 years. With that background and currently being in a candidate's market, roughly what should I target as my salary?

Right now, I'm at 100k with 5% bonus as a BA.

Startup I’m at just went through first round of layoffs. Actually come from a CPA background and currently in a data analyst role. Should I start interviewing to be safe? Will probably survive even another round but just thinking ahead.

I have cleared 3 rounds for the Senior UX Designer role and the last round is scheduled for tomorrow as an onsite interview with the Director of Product Management. They mentioned that they will dig deeper into portfolio, workflows and a 'spontaneous design question'. What does that mean?
I have done several take home challenges but never a whiteboard one so don't know what to do in such a short amount of time🥺

Salary for analyst - digital product management @ american express? 2.5 YOE + location is Phoenix AZ. Also is 3-4 years really necessary for senior level role - Or will previous title be taken into account? I.e moving from product manager to senior product analyst. Or with 2.5 YOE would I automatically be a reg analyst?

I avoid Series A companies like the plague because they usually don’t have product / market fit or have their shit together at all. Agree or disagree?

What’s the best strategy to find your startup CTO?

Fish Fam, I would like your opinion for a question that has been bugging me for a while. Would you rather take good pay and stability, but ultimately lower career satisfaction at a larger company, or a more exciting role for lower pay (but with the very uncertain prospect of a payout) at a Startup?

Do you try to avoid job interviewing on Monday? I might have a very important interview on the following Monday and I am not sure if I should try to see if I can reschedule it. I heard so many stories about Monday being the worst day as people are usually busy with meetings and work and therefore distracted. Is this true?

Why we do not get invited to meetings.

Super nervous to get caught by ATS and lose opportunities. Anyone have tried and true tips?

I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. They have added on responsibilities and I have continuously expressed to my direct manager how I feel.
