There are some kickass POC in my office who get respect; they’re more senior than me. I feel like people don’t react as well to me, even though I do/say similar types of things. Tips to get respect?

I know this happens a lot but I still get mildly annoyed when a senior tries to make revisions to your work that don’t actually make sense and the partner eventually just reverts to your original language/wording. I’m a senior myself and I remind myself constantly not to mark something up for the sake of marking something up.

I feel like I’ve lost my credibility at work. I had a really rough week - got pulled into way too may things and dropped the ball on a few things.

Hi. People Manager here. I've been one for 12 years now and I encourage my team to not be "yes" people. At this time, it feels like my manager wants me and my team to be yes people for her. How do I deal with this? I've never been a yes person and I don't preach this to my reports. I don't know what to do. Help?

What’s the consensus on tattoos in the insurance workplace? I’m in leadership and considering exploring my options due to recent personnel changes. I work remote and have arm sleeves, and any time I would be in-person I’d of course wear a long sleeve shirt to be professional, but worry about a cuff rolling up and tattoos being somewhat visible. Hi y’all! Hope this is the right bowl to post this question and get advice. I am dealing with an employer that preaches our values. The owner states that the values are important to her etc yet my manager violates these values and is involved in unethical behavior frequently. Example 1: My manager has told specialists (resourcers) that she will pay them under the table in order for her (manager) to get full credit vs splitfor the placement and therefore (barely) hit her target for the quarter.
