There is an opening in EY- GDS. I applied to the same and had a friend in EY follow up with the recruiter. I got to know they’re not considering my profile coz they feel i am more from an “operational background”
I’ve worked only in tier 1 IT companies all my career ; I just don’t know how to correct this misunderstanding.
Any ideas? This role is exactly matching with my profile but looks like they’ve not even gone through it.

I recently discovered that I am being placed in a band of 1-2 years in role because I made a switch from operations to product. My colleagues are making 20-30% more than I am and we have similar output. Part of the management perspective is that I have adequate stock value and that switching into product means that I do not have my prior experience packaged into my banding. I’m curious how others who made transitions in their career have been able to navigate this?

What's the best way to approach my counselor for a relocation to another city so that the counselor/manager approves without any issue..
Obviously it won't happen overnight, I have to give my handover and that could take a month, I am fine with that.
