I had applied for two job openings in Deloitte USI for ServiceNow Developer role and they rejected the application within 4 hrs of applying stating “Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we have determined that our current position is not ideally suited to your talents, experience, and qualifications.” Can anyone shed some light on this. Are there any other eligibility criteria which I may be failing to meet? My 10th, 12th and Graduation is above 70 Deloitte Deloitte USI Deloitte India

Spent 4+ years as CMO of startup company. It was an incredible learning experience but also a very difficult uphill battle trying to steer the owners and the company in the right direction. I’ve just exited the company as of 11/18. The owners expected to storm the marketplace and emerge as a number one brand at only 6 years old without putting in the work.Company had a very hard time understanding the concept of a unique value proposition. Hoping to find a new remote (full time) position ASAP
I think LinkedIn has been a valuable tool for both job seekers and recruiters. For better or for worse LinkedIn allows for more transparency into a candidates background. I think if both parties have good intentions, it can be a super valuable resource. With most platforms like LinkedIn it’s not as much about the technology itself, but how we use or abuse it.
Yes re: use/abuse, definitely. Work wikipedia is a good use of it.
LinkedIn job search is a minefield. More and more 3rd party temp services posting, direct hired are sales teams, or the postings are for open listing for marketing and managerial positions. I've gotten two sales positions through this site. Now I'm in manufacturing as a technician. I wish it were better vetted to reduce spammy temp positions.
I like LinkedIn for an online resume source. It isn't much for social media, but "interacting" with others, posting...these can "boost" visibility in people/talent searches made by other users.
My experience has been positive; many recruiters have reached out to me through LinkedIn with roles at least worth considering. That’s how I got my current position. It’s nice to keep up with professional networking. I am weary of the unsolicited connection requests; dude I don’t know you and I don’t even know if you’re real.
I once applied for a job that would have been a potential 3x raise. I received a reject within hours. Later, I saw that a manager on that product had looked at my LinkedIn (which was empty) that day. Better safe than sorry, I say (now).
I like the confidence thinking that you would have gotten that large a jump if only your profile had been filled out
I think it's important to be sized up. It does end up focusing on your resume itself more, but I don't think that's necessarily bad. And I like the networking aspect, I've actually had some valuable leads with it.

I think LinkedIn is great. It was ahead of its time when it started and has been nothing but a benefit for me. Professional social media I find is probably the best case of social media.
