I've never been able to relate to this mindset. I've witnessed too many incompetent non-Black "leaders" to ever feel underqualified in any of my positions, and their success could ONLY be attributed to preferential treatment. Despite what the OP said in the original thread, their sentiments are a true reflection of their insecurities.
Agree with this. I don’t care enough about what other people think to care about what other people think. They can attribute my success to whatever they want. I’ll just keep succeeding and keep it moving.

I often ignore this kind of stuff. At some point, people have to pick a side, and they usually pick it before they turn 25. The vast majority of the time, either they think racism exists and is a problem in the work world, or they think places that are like 5% black (if that) are easy for underqualified black people to get into and get promoted at. I rarely see people in the middle, though I admit the Asians who feel discriminated against for other reasons are a big chunk outside of the above dichotomy.
They automatically assume Black = less qualified as if less than mediocre Chads aren’t wreaking havoc in these companies every day of the week. 🙄
