Hi All, I’m the bowl owner here, just wanted to mention that we are 50 members strong, hence I though we can do an anonymous introduction to mention where do you work, and where do you live… and what do you expect out of living in Pune city in terms of your career.
About myself, am working as a project manager in Citi, though I have moved to Mumbai from Pune during COVID to find a better opportunity here, I wish to move back to Pune in near future for better WLB and opportunities.

Ugh! My daycare sent a note today offering free weekly covid tests to all kids (and teachers of course). I can’t decide if I want to opt in for the peace of mind or not but honestly my first thought wasn’t fear of covid, it was fear of closures. What a world we live in
It’s so difficult for us because we don’t really have family support either.
D1: I know you suggested this with good intention but finding a nanny this time of the year is an uphill battle and worse, it doesn’t help OP currently while dealing with baby and work pressure. Many of us select daycare because A. The cost of nanny is insane right now with labor shortage B. We live in smaller houses and don’t have the luxury to have more people in the same quarters during working hours C. Are tired of nanny taking sick days or time off without notice (this is probably 1 in 100 but I have experienced this and that has put me off having nanny). I wish it was as easy as just hiring a nanny and covid exposure situation would be solved, but it’s not.

Get a nanny. Then you don’t have to worry about all the daycare nonsense.

I have a nanny and we send my toddler to daycare part time. Having a nanny does not solve the ‘nonsense’. And it’s pretty rude/inconsiderate to call daycare nonsense and assume everyone can afford a nanny. But thanks for the super helpful suggestion
This is my nightmare as well. I just don’t know when this will all end. I am just so tired! And this is the busiest season of the year!
Tired is an understatement right now!
Came to commiserate. We just got a notice that 2 kids at our child’s preschool tested positive. The kids are in a different room, but participate in one of the add on sports activities with my daughter. I’m guessing we’re dealing with Thanksgiving fallout. We’re waiting to hear whether our kiddo can go back to school, or if she has to quarantine.
