Yes, our Superintendant is going to bring up reopening to the board. The plan is to return grade by grade. The issue is it will start next week with my grade returning in 3.

Yes from parents who are struggling to care for their children. Less vocal are parents I know of who will not send their kids back due to the rising cases.

Yeah, unfortunately. We've been remote since the spring, but admin has been pushing hybrid really hard. They plan to have those of us that are willing return to campus this winter. Personally, I think it's a reckless decision but admin only listens to parents. 🤦‍♀️

Tired of hearing about how there’s going to be a “cure” or a “vaccine” for COVID and life’s going to just go back to normal. News flash... There isn’t. It’s a virus just like the flu or the common cold which (spoiler alert) also have no cure or vaccine. I’m not saying there won’t be antiretroviral treatments to help the symptoms, but there will never be a “cure” or “vaccine”. Unfortunately as with any virus, the only way to move past this is herd immunity. This is basic biology.

Do special education teachers get paid more than regular education teachers in your district? I believe special education teachers deserve hazard pay. Between all the physical aggression and bodily fluids (especially spitting during covid) we deal with, there are a lot of physical dangers in our jobs.

Met this guy 4 weeks ago. He lives 4 hours away and has already been down to see me twice and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights each time. Pays for every date even though I offer to pay. He is awesome and I really like him! However, he was traveling for work last week so our communication went from checking in everyday to one 15 min call middle of the week. He joined this job during COVID so first time meeting his team.. he said they were out past 1am every night. Ummm? (Contd)

I’m traveling to Maine from Georgia in a couple of weeks and will be flying into Boston and renting a car. I am reading about Mass. Covid travel rules and I am wondering if I would qualify as a transitory traveler since I’m just passing through. The website only talks about people that are driving through so I was wondering if anyone has done something similar recently. Also, if anyone has flown into BOS recently, how did they check to see if you exempt from the Covid rules?
