There’s a sense of entitlement in the biz that wasn’t present years ago. There are many signs but the one that hit home most is when I heard some employees gripe that the company wouldn’t pay dog insurance.

Pet insurance is a bit much, but conversely… I think people are just sick and tired of working like dogs and still not able to afford basic things (home, insurance, never ending loans, etc.) especially in big cities. A lot of people are realizing they have been accepting whatever they can get and it’s not enough to live in peace… and definitely not enough in the case of an emergency. that was made even more painfully obvious throughout the pandemic (hence the mass exodus and hot job market) … just my 2 cents 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah the griping has definitely increased. Pet insurance should not be a standard benefit lol. That being said, agencies are treating their employees worse and worse, while consultancies/tech companies/startups are luring talent away by offering these things. We’re all seeing other companies offer us higher pay, better benefits, better work life balance, etc and wondering why we have to work until 2am every night for the privilege to pay for subpar healthcare. Agencies need to catch up asap.

I’m on your side. Executives don’t make enough money in my opinion. Do you know how hard it is to always turn a profit when these “people” continue demanding better conditions?! What’s next, paternity leave?!?

Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The week prior to employee being tested the entire team was in the office sick. The company in question weeks prior wrote the employee up referencing sexual innuendo due to an accusation of a preferred name.
