The statement in the image you shared is so true. Believe it or not, it's a concept I learned while studying martial arts. My instructor told us never to compare ourselves to other students, but rather to look at the progress we'd made from when we first started. Life is a journey, whether in our personal or professional lives. It's all about perspective and how you choose to view that journey that matters. Thanks for sharing!

Yes. I love this mindset. I used to always compare my progress with other people and it's not doing good to my mental health. I realized that my only competition is myself.

Big4 vs BDO
I’m currently working for a Big4 firm and I’m considering an offer from BDO for a base increase of $35k-$65k more. The pay is a lot higher so I want to take it, but I’m worried about taking an offer from a firm with less prestige. Does BDO have a good reputation? How’s the culture and WLB at BDO?

I'm being offered a position to build, lead and coach a team of SDRs. What's your best advice on structuring this?

What are good attributes to hire for?
How do you avoid SDR burnout?
What are reasonable KPIs and what are destructive KPIs?

I'd love your input!

I received a job offer with a probationary period that requires targets are met to obtain the full salary I requested. While this is not a pure sales role, biz dev and revenue are part of the responsibility of managing a 30pp department in this role.

One target requires I increase team revenue by 20% in 6 months. They haven't shared current revenue info yet, but 20% on ANY number seems really high, especially in the first 6 months.

What are some reasonable revenue increase goals you've had?

If anybody would be willing to chat! I'd love more insight on roles Within AWS tech sales.

Care for a quick dm chat?

Hi everyone, I have a quick question! My boss wants to QUICKLY move this one product, he had the idea that we could get “influencers” to promote it online and therefore generate hype? How does one go about FINDING and CONTACTING these influencers?! Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hello guys,
I am new to US job market - and I have been working in B2B sales for almost 2 decades for an international ICT/Télécommunications provider in Europe.
I know that I cannot expect to start here in the US where I left my precious job as Sales Manager and I am fine with that.
But what can I demand in terms of salary (base/commission/boni) in the DC area? I am currently in the middle of an interview process and the company offered 60k base salary.
Any advise is much appreciated!

Any opinions on working at BlueVolt as a SDR? I've seen a lot of negative reviews on Glassdoor. Thanks

Attention SDRs & AE’s
Trying to gauge average salaries, how much are you guys making? Are you on target, above target, below target? What industry are you in? Thanks

I spoke to a recruiter about a month ago regarding a position. The comp base variable split was 70/30 which was a great guarantee compared to 50/50 split on same OTE I have now. Since initial discussions the offer has changed to 60/40 split and a 20k lower OTE). I am quite disappointed but also see it a still a very strong opp and I’m really ready to try something new. They mentioned a signing bonus. What is a reasonable signing bonus to ask for? Its 40k difference from the orig base.

How is it working at one of the holding companies as a seller? I’m currently working for a private solutions provider but got an opportunity to go to an agency. Wondering if the paycut is worth the agency exposure for future growth.

Hi there, I got an offer for an early stage cyber security saas startup in Canada and they offered me 130k base and 10-15% commissions which they estimated at 160-240k additional a year. They only have 1 sales person at the moment and I would be 2nd and they are hiring for 3 more. I’ve always been on a 50:50 model and never done the % of revenue. Average deal size is 40k. I got 12 yoe in enterprise tech sales. No stock options upfront but potentially after the first 3 months. Good deal?

Anybody know any good recruiting firms to get in touch with for help with a job search?

So I’m going for a new sales role and the company doesn’t have a sales function at all, I’d be their first sales hire. They’re a PPC marketing company. They’re unsure of commission structures, what should I suggest?
