I mean yeah, soldiers from other countries probably love their own country, not America
That could certainly be the case, but only because we get bombarded with the culture of patriotism and American exceptionalism since a very early age
I suppose, but is that really a salient observation? French soldiers love France, and German soldiers probably love Germany
Yup, that's the only difference. Nailed your analysis with that one. Case closed.
I was a soldier in my country of origin and I enlisted as a marine here, and the message is the same love for your country, it is a message that reaches your soul and stays with you always.
Using love for your country so that you go to other places to impose force is just a populist phrase, it is easy for us to be deceived by that. I am a war veteran and I know what it means to be manipulated to meet the goals of a group of people, being a military man should be to protect and not to attack.
I love my country, in my home, we all contribute to the social welfare and security of the country, my father is a doctor, my mother is a nurse, one of my brothers is a police officer and I decided to be a soldier, I feel that I do my part every day.
I doubt that the love we feel for our country is felt in other military bodies in the world, defending the colors of the best country in the world makes this love greater and more sincere, God bless America.
