I am getting a Analyst designation at delloite for a 1.7 years experience of it experience.
Should I try to get the consultant designation as the salary range will also open a bit as they r giving me 9.5. Should I just wait a few more months to get 2 years experience and apply the consultant position.

Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

Go unless ur making portfolio worthy work.
Talk to your CD/ECD about it. Get the full story instead of assuming. If you’re unhappy with the conversation then yes, unfortunately it’s time to go
I'd start looking.
But have a frank discussion with your boss about why. "What am I not doing to be considered?"
If you don't like the answers, start to look for a new gig.
If you can't have a frank conversation then it's def time to go.
I don't think anyone's suggesting you just up and quit without a gig. They're suggesting you go find a new job.
If you've been a senior for 6 years, have been asking for ACD, and they just brought in someone else, that means there's something significant they think you're lacking (and it's not experience). Could be lack of management, presentation or interpersonal skills, or something else entirely.
I suggest a two pronged approach.
1. Like ACD1 said, find out exactly why they're not promoting you. Then whatever that is, do your best to improve on it.
2. Start interviewing for ACD positions. Some places may be reluctant to hire you as a Sr. figuring you'll be bucking for ACD in short order, when what they need is a Sr. So interview for ACD roles. Experience-wise you're ready for it if your book supports it.
I’ve been a senior writer for 6 years now. If I leave, I’m not confident I’d get an ACD role, having not had that title here. So there’s a risk of me being a senior writer forever!
How long have you been a Sr.?
