So edgy 🙄
I do not think OP is being edgy. Just trying to find the parameter that is truly responsible for so many mass shootings.
Think of it as other OECD countries have a tank of gasoline (8chan, video games etc) handed to each household but only US has tiki torches (no pun intended) or matches accessible to anyone. More matches/tiki torches means more fires. Other countries do not hand out matches/torches willy nilly as they do not know who is a pyromaniac and who is not. US on the other hand is handing out to anyone because they cannot distinguish between pyros and non pyros and betting their money on non pyros who they believe will stop pyros with their fire or on firefighters who will be available on demand or in a few minutes to quash the fires.
For the people in the back - video games have been studied dozens of times over several decades and there has been absolutely no significant causal link to violence. It’s not far from “vaccines cause autism” as far as bullshit unsubstantiated claims from idiots goes.
I should correct myself - not just unsubstantiated, but counter-indicated. That it is to say, not only is there a lack of evidence for it, there is a body of evidence directly against it.
Not being edgy just preemptively responding to the blame people put on mental illness, video games, and other things. If other countries also have those things, what is it in America that is responsible for the drastically higher rate of mass shootings? I’m listening.
Texas has its ass backwards.
