What are chances of getting into advisory at a top 10 firm? I have 5 years of audit experience at local cpa firms, made it to supervisor. Before that, 1 year of corporate accounting experience at a small manufacturing company. Would like to make the switch, not sure if it's possible.

Is FP&A to corporate strategy a realistic switch?

I started my first in-house role about 4 months ago and I don’t think it’s the right fit. I love the no billable hours aspect, but otherwise I miss the structure of being at a firm. How long do you think I should try to stick this out before I move on? I want to give the job a real shot - and i know the transition to in-house can be jarring…but I also don’t want to spend too much time in a job that is a wrong fit.

My career path has been anything but linear - interned in creative (copy), worked in SEO/content creation until I got my BA in advertising (minor in Psych). Worked first two years in digital media, then two in branded content + project/account management.
