Anyone know the salary for a vp at Marcus?
I have a weird experience with KPMG India . Two weeks ago I had salary negotiation with the HR manager. He told me that the offer will be released in a couple of days but I haven't received the offer letter yet.I tried reaching out to the HR manager but didn't receive any response. Shall I take it as no?

Depends on your side project. Think about what an agency writer gets out in a year or two, if your project shows you bled all that time to make something great/different/provocative/beautiful, that will speak volumes. If you fuck off for two years and whittle a guitar out of a canoe, not so much. And here comes my second bit of unfounded, unsolicited advice - if you believe in the project, i say do it. Creative is creative, agency or not. If anything, it'll put you ahead. Assuming it's not a canoe-guitar. Although.....
By the way, I haven’t made much interesting work.
Age doesn’t matter, at least to me. I would slightly prefer an older creative with similar work experience to a younger one.
All that ultimately matters is the quality of the book. You have to weigh the side gig with the lost opportunity cost of producing great work in the next couple years. If you don’t think you will/can make great work, that’s a bigger problem than hypothetically coming back to advertising.
Pharma will always have a place of you are good with that.
Also it depends on how much money you think you deserve.
Otherwise TBH, you really aren't making yourself sound appealing to top agencies.
Thanks ACD, the side gig earns more than my job at the moment so it’s an established thing. It’s not crazy creative but it could be a little interesting to ad folks .
More worried of wanting to come back to the ad world but being too old and too “inexperienced” to be desirable.
I don't think age matters, it's all about how you think and what you make. So if agency is where you want to be, just be sure this project is going to give you something good for your book and gives you a unique way to pitch yourself. If it's something you really believe in or are passionate about, i'm sure you'll find away to do that.
