I am a new joiner @ Coforge, joined on Nov 15th and still waiting for project allocation. What is the resource pool/bench policy for a new joiner, can anyone please help on this?

New to tax. What are some questions to ask the client related to the cares act? ie, have they taken a ppp loan and when will it be paid back…. Also how is the ppp loan treated for tax? What/when is the add back. Does it depend if they picked it up as income?

If you spend more time than expected training and teaching staff, do you bill that time to the client code or do you use a different billing code? I’m a newly promoted senior and I am currently working with a staff who constantly has to revise work because it’s done incorrectly and I find that I’m spending a considerable portion of my day teaching and going over work which I am more than happy to do. I don’t want to blow the budget, so I was thinking of charging the teaching time to admin.

What happens if big ideas come up against sometimes harsh operational and engineering realities? Did you learn any lessons in this regard when attempting to bring the ambitious project Marcel to life?

In the process of being promoted @B4 but I don’t like the people I work for and I’m on the project from hell. The promo has taken so long that I’ve looked elsewhere despite it being my 2nd promo in 3 years. I haven’t had much traction until this past week where I was approached by 4 recruiters with really compelling roles (including FAANG). I know it doesn’t hurt to talk to them but am I an ass for excepting the promo while continuing to look/possibly exiting in the near future?

HELP: I currently do-not create the content for web designs (for multiple reasons). I have one client in particular who has been stringing me along for content for months. I have had many meetings and even sent her a content outline with strategy for her services content (not in the scope of work) to help her. Unfortunately, nothing. I started the website design and She has even had another photo shoot and still no content. Q: Do you ask for ALL content before CONTRACT?

I have a contact who has basic knowledge of java programming. She started with LnTInfotech and got mapped into a project with most of her work being in Hyperion tool. She has great desire to become a web developer. She has a total of 2.5 years of experience. She is looking for project opportunities where she gets to work as a java dev?
Is there any leads that my fellow fishes can share here? It would be of great help.

I’m at the delicate age where I have no illusions about this business (and life) but still feels that mediocre and dialing it in (dialing it in every damn day that is) is acceptable. ie I’m not completely dead inside but ain’t skipping in a field of roses either? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Should you always negotiate? I never gave a range during the interview process, I had a TC # in my mind. Got an offer and TC was exactly what I would've asked for. I will take the job.

That said, is there any harm to negotiating for higher here? I don't have any data to back why I deserve a higher #, but feel it's a missed opportunity to just accept the first offer

I had my PHR back in early 2000, then made a career change to a paramedic (I know, right). I called SHRM and they said I'm eligible to test again even though I only currently have 1.5 yrs of HR.

I purchased the online study guide and it seems that HR has gone in a completely different direction - more operations related than employee relations etc.

Did anyone find this online training to be helpful? I test in July, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!
