Thinking about starting a professional services government contracting company. Focused on communications and public and media relations. A former colleague of mine is also interested. She’s a reporter and video editor at a news agency. I have comms experience in the public sector for 10+ years. Any advice on getting started, challenges, etc is appreciated.

My recommendation is to get registered as a woman owned business ASAP in order to get noticed when bidding projects. There are a lot of advantages to that certification.

Or "Maybe in 6 months!"
