Do you have house/staff counsel where you work assuming you work for an insurance company. I worked in subrogation for the last 3 years with a lot of attorneys retained on my files. My daughter is also studying law. Any feedback I have received from the attorneys is that it is hard work and discipline. Maybe you could reach to staff counsel and establish some type of mentorship.
Well the field of law is pretty broad, and not sure about Australia but here in Canada we even have lawyers who specialize in insurance law and even narrow it down from there. It definitely will benefit you, and you can probably see if your current employer would be willing to pay for it
A buddy that used to work at AIG told me he had a coworker do this and AIG paid for his law school and he worked on their legal team after. That was about 10 years ago.
I’ve considered doing this too, my wife is about to graduate from law school and I already knew a lot of what she was learning from experience handling so many messy claims!
Willis Towers Watson The WTW LinkedIn posts have caught my attention. I’m looking for a change. Can anyone share about the environment of the US offices? Thank you!
