They adopted him in May of 2020 (6-8 weeks old) this picture is Christmas 2020
We’ve had one for 5 years and he is the absolute best. Very smart and easy to train. A lot of energy (still at 5 years!) but we try to socialize him a lot and give him a lot of toys/time to play. His working dog mentality has manifested into him wanting to play catch 24/7 and his obsession with tennis balls. Also, surprisingly, very affectionate and snuggly. I would highly recommend!
We had one. They are actually great with kids and extremely loyal. But they have an *insane* amount of energy and a very high pain tolerance. It takes a ton of patience and time to train them.
And they will herd the kids into a corner if you don't keep any eye on them.
Okay, so my parents adopted a blue heeler last year, he’s about 1.5 years old… HE HAS A LOT OF ENERGY, not just daily walks, but be prepared to play catch and running him back and forth for 2-3 hours a day. He is snuggly when he wants to be, and as humans develop a routine, they will too.
They are not a high maintenance dog, but they are very active and demand a lot of playful attention.
I’ve heard they’re good and loyal family pets.
But they ARE working dogs and have a ton of energy, need stimulation, training, and engagement. They’re hyper intelligent and if not given enough exercise they can definitely be mischievous
Lots of energy. Will get fat if you don’t exercise them constantly. Sweet souls
