I find myself feeling like my team is toxic, but not in the way you’d usually say a work environment is toxic. Everyone’s friendly and a team player but there’s a certain pressure placed on our team by management to be number 1 (which we are, in our respective region). I’m a 37-year-old dude dating again for the first time in 16 years and a lot of the women I’m meeting seem to have so much more going on than I do (better/high paying careers, tons of friends, always getting dinner/drinks with friends, devouring book, etc.).
