Any one have job referrals for a beauty company in the Bay Area? I don’t want to do retail, I’m thinking more corporate. Ex. Sephora, Benefit, Kendo, Biossance, Farmacy, etc.
I’ve been trying to get connections on LinkedIn but most times people don’t respond. I recently graduated and really want to work in the beauty industry.Sephora

Good production companies based in Barcelona?
Yes, you are crazy for doing it now. On a few months or half a year from now though, it will be a freelancer’s market. When agency start to hire again it will first be freelance. No one will want to carry the overhead of full time, but they will need to fill client work.
If you need a steady income, wait.

I will say, it really depends on your network and connections. If you don’t have a strong network outside of direct work connections, definitely don’t do that now. You really need to build referrals so the work keeps coming in. Don’t just make a leap because you’re unhappy. You will be more unhappy when there’s no money and no work. And it always depends on, do you have savings, cost of living etc, financial savviness etc.
This. Not having work and seeing your money quickly run out is much more stressful than a frustrating job. I’m in the same boat with 3 years without a raise, I’ve walked out of a few jobs in the past, but wouldn’t do it now.
Sorry to hear that. It depends on your financial situation. If we go into lockdowns again it could get rough.
Only 3 years?
I’d wait. Also look into going client side. You can find work-life balance there and better benefits. Best decision I made.
I think it’s a very hard time out there right now. Even with a strong network of connections.
