Applying for M7 next year. Stats on general are slightly above average, however EC is lacking. My mum had an accident and since I'm 19 I'm her (only) government appointed caretaker (includes finances, legal stuff, medical decisions, bills and other paperwork...). So every minute, that I'm not working, doing further training, or seeing friends I'm helping my mum.
Is this something that can be taken into account for EC? Should I (still) improve my EC during the next 12 months?

What are the downsides to being at the higher end of the salary range?

During my first interview when asked about salary, I blurted out a number (without doing my research) because it was a 25% increase from my current salary for a more junior role. The recruiter said the number is 10k higher than their max. If I’d be willing to meet them at the top of the band. I agreed. I’ve made it through the 6 stages of the interview. I have an unofficial offer. No salary yet. What are the pros/cons?
