Thinking of moving from NYC to Florida Office, does anyone have experience with this/will salary be adjusted down for lower cost of living?

Usually the salary is NOT adjusted down. This also applies if you were in Florida and moved to NYC.

Depends where you are in the scale.

Doing a full reallocation of my portfolio since I’ve got a lot of dry powder sitting around. I had previously invested in QQQ (tech, nasdaq) and done very well. But now considering doing VUG (growth stocks) instead. Looks like lots of similar companies with a lower conc in tech (50 vs 65%) and a much lower fee (.03% vs .2%). Any thoughts?

Just moved to NY and want to spend my weekends exploring neighborhoods, starting with Manhattan + Brooklyn. I’ve done the most basic tourist things on past trips. Open to any recommendations from you seasoned New Yorkers! 😅

Need some advise. I'm considering switching firms. I am underpaid and benefits are not competitive at all at this firm. And I doubt promotion at the end of the year will get me to a decent pay rate. I like the place and people (for the most part) and I'm worried that I won't get that elsewhere. Basically that i will be trading the environment for the pay and benefits.

For those who have moved around, do environments contrast drastically? Is a switch from hourly to salary a good benefit in PA?
