The talent agency world in TOUGH. I moved to LA when I was 29 with similar goals, but once I learned that you start in the mail room and work your way up to agent over for a course of years while being paid next to nothing , I decided on another way and went to grad school instead. With no experience you will have to network very hard and intern for little to no money for a while. It’s not impossible, but certainly difficult.
"Good amount of money" might mean something else in LA than what you think. Some people pay $2-3,000 rent every month. Gas is well over $4/gal, and you absolutely need a car (a used, 10yr old car with 80,000mi will run you close to $10k in this market).
If LA is where you want to be, I would find a travel assignment here and feel it out for awhile. Travel nurses here can get paid close to $25k/month. Stock up more while you network and feel out the area. you may have to fund your own agency out of pocket if you don't want to work in a mail room till you're 40.

As someone who used to work in the industry/has a lot of friends who tried to make it: if you have no connections, it’s gonna be reaaaaaal rough for you. Like educational credentials and previous experiences don’t matter, it’s the people you know. A lot of people who graduated with me or a few years ahead of me are still production assistants or work at universal music or companies like that making under $100k and we’ve been out of school 7+ years. Only 1 out of the dozen or so I know has gone on to become a legit actor. I knew a couple of people who purposely went to grad school at USC (one of top schools for music and film in the country) just to have the school name on their resume and to network, and literally everyone who goes there for music/film (undergrad and grad) is trying to be in the industry and is actively making connections so for transplants, that’s even more competition you’re facing. I’ve seen a handful that used to work on the business side of film and music have since moved on to different industries. So yeah, no real advice but good luck.
